In the Transfer Dashboard, go to Transfer Account Details > Limits and Hold Times, then click Edit to update your credit/debit limits or request a change to your hold time settings.
\n
\nNote: Reducing hold times may require additional reserves. If you don’t see the option you need, reach out to your Plaid contact or support.
\n
\n
\n
\nHow long does it take for a Transfer application to be approved?\n Standard applications are typically reviewed within 10 business days once all documents are submitted. Restricted or higher-risk use cases may take around 20 business days due to additional compliance review. Delays can happen when documents are missing or RFIs aren’t answered promptly.
\n
\nWhy don’t I see my full transfer limits in Production?\n After your Transfer application is approved, you’ll have limited access to Production while you complete the required onboarding steps. This limited access is designed to let you test real transfers using lower limits: $1 per transfer and $10 per day.
\n
To unlock your full transfer limits, head to the Transfer Overview tab and click Complete Onboarding Tasks to finish the remaining steps in your Implementation Checklist.
\n
\n
\n
\nWhy does a transfer show as \"settled\" but the funds aren't available yet?\n “Settled” means the ACH network has completed processing—funds have moved between banks. However, for ACH debits, Plaid enforces a hold period (usually 2–5 business days) after settlement to protect against returns. Funds become usable only when the transfer reaches the funds_available status, which moves the amount from pending to your available Ledger balance.
\n
In the Overview tab of the dashboard, the Transfer Activity table will display the expected funds availability date for each debit transfer or sweep.
\n
You can view your hold times for debit transfers in the Transfer Account Details > Limits and Hold Times section of the dashboard. Debit sweeps (deposits) have 3 business days of hold time.
\n
\n
\n
\nIs there a way to export all transfer transactions?\n Yes. In the Transfer Dashboard, go to the Transfer Overview tab, apply any filters you need (e.g., date range, status), and click Export CSV to download the data for reconciliation.
\n
\nIs there a way to export all ledger balance activity for reconciliation?\n Yes. In the Transfer Dashboard, go to the Transfer Ledgers tab, select the Ledger you want (if you maintain multiple ledgers), apply any filters you need, and click Export CSV to download the data for reconciliation.
\n
\nWhere can I view transaction details for reserve deposits?\n This isn’t available in the dashboard yet, but we're actively working on adding support for it.
