The Item Debugger is a tool that provides detailed information about a specific Item. An Item in Plaid represents a login at a financial institution. Each Item linked within your application will have a corresponding <code style=\"border:none;background:#f1f3f5;padding:1px 4px;border-radius:3px;font-size:0.9em;\">access_token</code> and a unique <code style=\"border:none;background:#f1f3f5;padding:1px 4px;border-radius:3px;font-size:0.9em;\">item_id</code>.</p>\n<p>To use the Item Debugger on the Plaid Dashboard, follow these steps:</p>\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to your Plaid Dashboard at <a href=\"https://dashboard.plaid.com/\">dashboard.plaid.com</a>.</li>\n<li>Click on the \"Item Debugger\" tile. You can also access it by navigating to the \"Activity\" section in the left sidebar, and selecting \"Item Debugger\".</li>\n<li>Here, you can enter the <code style=\"border:none;background:#f1f3f5;padding:1px 4px;border-radius:3px;font-size:0.9em;\">item_id</code> of the Item you want to debug. The <code style=\"border:none;background:#f1f3f5;padding:1px 4px;border-radius:3px;font-size:0.9em;\">item_id</code> is a unique identifier for each Item. You can find the <code style=\"border:none;background:#f1f3f5;padding:1px 4px;border-radius:3px;font-size:0.9em;\">item_id</code> in the response of several Plaid API endpoints. For example, when you create an Item using the <code style=\"border:none;background:#f1f3f5;padding:1px 4px;border-radius:3px;font-size:0.9em;\">/link/token/create</code> endpoint, the response includes an <code style=\"border:none;background:#f1f3f5;padding:1px 4px;border-radius:3px;font-size:0.9em;\">item_id</code>. Note that you can also use other identifiers in the Item Debugger, such as an <code style=\"border:none;background:#f1f3f5;padding:1px 4px;border-radius:3px;font-size:0.9em;\">access_token</code>, <code style=\"border:none;background:#f1f3f5;padding:1px 4px;border-radius:3px;font-size:0.9em;\">link_session_id</code>, or <code style=\"border:none;background:#f1f3f5;padding:1px 4px;border-radius:3px;font-size:0.9em;\">link_token</code>.</li>\n<li>After entering the <code style=\"border:none;background:#f1f3f5;padding:1px 4px;border-radius:3px;font-size:0.9em;\">item_id</code>, you can view detailed information about the Item, such as its associated institution, the products it has access to, and its webhook URL.</li>\n<li>You can also see the status of the Item, including any errors that may have occurred.</li>\n</ol>","user_segment_ids":[]}}
